I thought I remember hearing Or reading  that there was a native stand of w. Filifera in the very south of Utah. Is that true?

Seems like I’ve read that before on some more obscure websites, it isn’t true though. The nearest native stand is in Moapa NV which is less that 40 miles from the border at the nearest point.

I didn’t seem any seed on or below it, however it did appear to have seeded; there were dry inflorescence stalks on it. I’m going to keep an eye on it. It’s pretty far away from any other washingtonia. Could potentially be a good genetic strain to utilize.

I image it was too cold last winter for it to flower this year. It snowed several times followed by low teens.
