I confess I stopped watering it and it died. I suppose I should have kept the experiment up but I don't really want a queen palm there. But I can dig it up and see if it has roots and what they look like. I'll take some pictures and post them here.

I was surprised no one mentioned Chamaedoreas. I heard on quite a few occasions it works with some species of this genus. Or is it just a Urban Legend, because they are called "bamboo palms"??? :bummed:
