Cute, Ron! I've since learnt how to make PowerPoint presentations and turn them into videos, so Rocky the swift might get on YouTube yet!

Great stuff

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

I know the baby hummingbird has imprinted on the guy using scientific logic.

My sensitive side believes that the little baby bird adores him.

Just like in the John and Rocky thread. :)

Aww, ain't dat CUTE!

Eventually, the little baby will fly away.

How neat to show the little one gaining proficiency a bit at a time, and taking the food the kid gave him.

More?

And, John, what about Rocky? Did he fly away? I'm sure by now he has. Not much of a life for a swift on the ground.

On a side note, LA is a part of a flyway for about 200,000 swifts that take up residence in a chimney near downtown. When they roost in the evening, it's like a giant cloud of smoke going back inside the chimney. . . .
