With winter knocking at our door, even if it continues to stay mild to warm like now, this looks like it will be the last red leaf for a while in my garden. This young Chambeyronia macrocarpa put out this new leaf yesterday and I took this shot this morning. All my other Chambeyronia have spears still moving but probably will slow way down by December and I'll have to wait 'til at least Spring to see another red leaf. This leaf is very orange to the naked eye.

Great photos and beautiful palm Jim.

I planted my first one here this summer (and have another which has barely grown in it's pot for two and a half years).

The one in the ground seems happier. Hopefully some day I'll get a beautiful leaf like that.
