My beloved Kentiopsis piersoniorum.

PS- I thought of making this a poll, but seeing it bumped without a post in 2 years might bring back bad mammries.

I tried to be strong but I couldn't. Every time I went by the spot she died, I felt sick. The space just looked so empty. The joy she would bring was gone.

I thought of others, even looked close, but I couldn't do it. Some of them could look pretty sexy I'm sure once they were cleaned up.

In the back of my mind she was everywhere, yet in reality, nowhere to be seen.

Others had more less gone mail order to bring in their mistresses to live in places above Lake Hodges, but I just couldn't do it.

And then I remembered, a small one. She was staying at a small out of the way place I had been to several times.

I went back to visit her and she looked better than I remembered.

She was looking REALLY good!

And her arse looked great too!

So I made a nice offer on her and took her with me. (Speak not to me of slavery or wenches! You've all done the same!)

I told her I had a place especially made for her. (I couldn't tell her some one like her had died there months ago.)

I didn't waste a lot of time and built her a little place with wire reinforced floors and wood walls and some nice amount of sunshine.

I took a picture of her next to her bigger long lost cousin, K. magnifica. They look really happy together, they can keep each other company.

Boy, I'm getting a bit misty eyed also Bill. I've considered creating a thread about "which palm would hurt you the most to lose"? Sounds like this may have been at the top of your list. I have a handful that I'm pretty attached to also, for various reasons. As they say, if it was easy everyone would be doing it. Glad you're giving it another go; it's not like you don't have the climate for it.

Mourn or replace?

Well, mourning is well and good, but that assumes the end has come.

So, replace, too. By the time you get over the mourning over the first, you're in love again with the second. (Or, third, fourth, etc., as the case may be . . . . )

Ay Bill,I see youre giving her good wood....is it oak? Just curious cause it could shrink in cold weather.

My two cents(0.787401 "). Only put It in during cold weather / keep Bone dry.

This appears to be the work of a truly disturbed author, but considering the source I guess none of us should be surprised except maybe that it took this long to happen.
