Variegated Sabal palmetto seeds.

Featured Replies

A few people had asked for variegated Sabal seeds in the past, as I have access to a couple of trees in the area. These are all striped variegation, with the petioles and even the inflorescenses variegated. I am offering these at $25/100, or $200/1000. I can't guarantee a percentage of variegation, as it differs, but seems to be lower than what I previously thought. The price is reflecting the fact I had to travel to a swampy island by boat and deal with some fun wildlife. If you are interested, send me an email at cfkingfish@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Another picture. It was hard to stand up straight and get a good picture in there.

Will the seedlings be variegated from the first leaf if they have the trait?

How much for shipping or is that included?

Shipping is $5 for domestic, $15 international, unless you want non-priority mail.

Seedlings will usually show on the first leaf, but I have seen it happen as late as the 3rd.

A guy is selling these locally and says only about half the seeds show varigated traits. Something to watch out for. Not sure I would purchase a seed.

I purchased 100 variegated seeds from another vendor in 2008 when I was a newbie - got nada. What the guy didn't tell me is that I should have bought 1,000 seeds because maybe 2 to 4 seeds out of 1,000 might be variegated. Save your money and buy the actual variegated palm
