I really like seeing before and after shots. I especially like rare palm before and afters because they grow so slow when you see them daily it seems like they aren't even growing but looking back can prove they do. Here are a few of mine feel free to add yours.

Thanks so much for posting those! It's amazing to see how fast some of those have grown in just 2 years. I can only hope that mine will do the same.

Nick, I love those before and after shots too! Your stuff is growing great I see. I'm amazed how well stuff is growing "coast-ally" for me too.

For some reason this photo always pops up in my photo album on my computer. The amazing part is that it is LESS than 2 years old!! (10-5-08)

BTW will Bromeliads grow inland in my area? I'm not sure if I've ever seen them around here, but I like the look of them.

Interesting to see the Foxy Lady in its growth stages. It almost looks like a different palm. Impressed too, by the growth rate of Dypsis marojeyjii. Very nice collection.

Nick,

Thanks for the pictures, a great thread for those of us here in SoCal with allot of Dypsis species. It's neat to see how the baroniis start to get thicker before seeding. Hope my D.ambositrae grows as fast as yours.

Thanks for posting the before-and-after shots. I always find them very encouraging for those of us with young palms. What a great collection -- I am especially envious of the Bentinckia condapanna.
