Afer all, no one was around; who would tell on me?

I decided to go ahead and see for myself. I started trembling and shaking in the anticipation.....

post-646-12805223393602_thumb.jpg

and I'll never do it again.

A 15 gallon pot filled with clay and a tree with touchy roots may be my limit......

but it looks nice....

And did you really plant that.....by yourself? No help? I'm impressed John. Maybe a Pelagodoxa next week?

Jeff,

Dug the hole, dragged it up the hill (actually a series of lifts and carries...thing must have weighed a hundred pounds or more), cut the bottom off the pot, sliced the pot up the side except for a tab, arranged it and cut the tab....in place. Filled the hole watered it in, set the irrigation and walked away.

Kicked my tail....done for the day after that. Not bad for old and fat, I'd say.

Hmm.

The King of Clandestine Guerilla Palm Planting was Don Tollefson, who tried to palm much of Venice (California) near his places there.

Up the hill? What are those? Anywho, I'm impressed, and it sounds like you did it by the book. Maybe a pic or two in time, or a book out(?). Thanks!

Let's see how it does over the winter.......

BTW, a hill is a place where the ground goes up.......it is difficult to manage when carrying things that weigh as much as you do....and yes, there are things that weigh as much as me.
