Anyone growing this? I have one somewhere in "the back" growing tall and skinny trying to reach for the sun. Here are two pictures taken on a hike today in Wai`anae Valley. Just close ups of the leaf and flower.

Living in Paradise, Leeward O`ahu, Hawai`i, USA
Temperature range yearly from say 95 to 62 degrees F
Only 3 hurricanes in the past 51 years and no damage. No floods where I am, No tornados, No earthquakes
No moles, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, etc. Just the neighbors "wild" chickens

Nice! We have a young Acacia confusa, about 5ft tall. It was planted last summer so no flowering yet.

Hi Steve,

It's been several years since we talked palms, mostly Pritchardia, which is still my passion. I'm amazed you got that Formosan Koa to grow in Waianae. I have a few trees on the makai end of my garden. They grow wild along the Hana Highway.

I was offline for at least two or three years it seems. Palmtalk has changed some since the last time I was on.
