thanks for posting matty great pictures

I swang by this place with Jim Wright and palm curry back in May

Old Beach ,Hobart
Tasmania ,Australia. 42 " south
Cool Maritime climate

A great post - excellent shots, loved the striped bamboos also

Thanks

As much as I enjoyed all the palms (and names! Very educational for me), the bamboos (?) we're particularly impressive. I might have to grow a few buckets of them.

Thanks for the tour.

Bringing back this thread rather than starting a new one (since the photos are awesome).  A couple palms I was curious about.

1) This is just Dypsis Lutescens, right?

2) Is this one of the Sabals? If so, any guess which one?
I was with a group in a hurry, so wasn't able to look for a tag. Sorry for  the poor quality photo.

2) Is this Ptychosperma elegans?
Loved the thin graceful trunk on this one. Seems like these are super-common in Florida, but I don't see them around much in San Diego (or at least, I haven't noticed them if so).

Not a palm, but I loved how they positioned these Monstera's Aerial roots...

Looking forward to going back when I have more time to explore (the folks I was with aren't as into plants as I am).

Oops, on second photo, I meant to say "Is this one of the Brahea? If so, any guess which one?" (too late to edit)
