A friend is visiting the Miami area and is looking for Dactilyfera-Robellini hybrids, Butiagrus and other cocosoid hybrids.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your cooperation.

Hi Tony,

I talked to Rick Leitner from Ft. Lauderdale yesterday. He said he went to Home Depot to see if he could find any bargins in the nursery, and he said it was bare, no palms, no orchids, no nothing. The nurserys down there must have been hit by the cold too. As far as the palms your friend is looking for in the Miami area, I have no idea.

Hi Tony,

I used to live in Miami and i visit there when time/money permits. I don't know of any hybrid freaks down there,

Butia and such are not very popular down there seeing they can grow allmost anything. I can help your friend w/ XButiagrus and other hybrids if he is interested. But i am a about 3.5 hours north. I try not to sell too much because i am trying to fill my field, but Palmtalk people i will help anytime! Good peeps! I'll PM you w/ details if you want.

Oh, tell your friend to stop by Jeff Searles place, he has some Butia.E and just about everything else you could imagine, a must see!!

In any case I hope they can visit my place. There is a nursery down the street that had cold hardy stuff but I see they changed thier inventory compleatly. They had windmills and butias. I will see what they have going on. You can go to places where they have thousands of robellinii and look for hybrids.
