The latest Discover Magazine I just received (a monthly magazine describing breakthroughs in science) for January/February 2010 has listed in this issue the 100 top science stories of 2009. On page 46 are listed the top new species discoveries. At the top of the list is Tahina spectabilis, with a color photo of a leaf and an inflorescence. There is a very nice and accurate description of the palm, where it was found, and its life cycle. Too bad they could not have referred readers to the IPS website for further details.
