Ok so pis taken upright come out sideways and pics taken horizontal come out correct....

Yes - However, if you edit them on the phone and save, the upright ones display correctly. It's a bug to be corrected in a coming version.

I am assuming the picture icon is rarely used as it asks for a URL which means I have the image hosted somewhere else. Messaging allows me to upload an image, but how about in the forum proper? Can someone point me in the right direction please?
