I took a weekend trip up to the Crystal River area and went to Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Refuge.  Not much to see palm-wise except for lots of tall beautiful Sabal palms, but still a nice park.

We took a boat ride from the Visitors Center over to the park.

             Are you a little " short" on wiring up stairs? Why should he post a topic of Sabals on Palapa?  :cool:

Really great photos Jeff, nothing makes a forest look like a jungle than palms....

About 4 to 8 frost a year...ave yearly min temp about 27F

About 8 inches of rain a year.

My sister lives in Crystal River and when we visit her we always go to Homosassa springs just to see the tons of needle palms in their natural habitat. Ah, I mean to take the kids to see the manatees and all the other wildlife at the park.

I have an aunt and uncle who live in Hommossassa (sp?) and I'll bet that's nice and close.

And, if it's even tangentially related to PALMS, it's okay on this forum, for what it might happen to maybe possibly might be worth . .. .
