I've got an audition for a James Cameron film tomorrow where I'm going to be playing a pilot of a helicopter I think. I'm refered to as Uniform 64 at one point. It seems like we're responding to a crash in enemy territory of some sort. There's tons of acronyms and stuff I have no clue what I'm saying. Can anyone help? I'll list the sentences I don't understand. Thanks in advance.

1. Alright, all QRF out in the airspace.

2. Chalk One – the troops

are on the deck. Chalk Two – deployed. Kilo 64 approaching

staging area. Super Six-two take up a overhead pattern to

provide sniper cover. Over. Super Six-one you’re a sitting

duck there.

3. Get an MH6 on site, check for survivors. Send in the SAR bird.

4. S25 hostiles advancing parallel west of your position, be

advised women and children among them, over.

Anyone got a clue on these? :blink:

I called a pilot friend of mine and while he's not military he said Kilo 44 would be your call sign, SAR Bird would be Search and Rescue. Super Six-one would be another aircraft of person on the ground.

I know it's not much but hope it helps.

Matt,

QRF stands for Quick Response Force, and an MH-6 is a helicopter that's primarily designed to transport commandos into hostile territory. And the "bird" after SAR of course means "helicopter".

I don't think you're supposed to say "Sar" (as a word), but pronounce each letter by itself. But, better check...! :)

SAR = Sierra Alpha Romeo

and,

S25 = Sierra Two Five

etc.......

and allways remember

9 is Niner
