I am always on the lookout for art related to the tropics or palms in general. Here in South Florida, it is abundant, but unusual palm art can be hard to find. I came across this 3 foot by 2 foot painting today in a bargain bin. It certainly caught my attention and I debated whether I had the wall space for it. Not knowing even where I was going to put it, I had to have it. No artist signature, but it is professionally framed and matted. And since coconuts are my absolute favorite palm, this was a no brainer for me.

I know I would have kicked myself later in the day if I had not picked it up.

Do you also have artwork that reflects the beauty of palms?

As you can see, I did find a spot for it.

Nice painting Rick! Coconut palms, blue water, and sunset... what more can you ask for? :)

Rick,

Nice find, and having been inside your house on several occassions, it's going to look great and fit right in with all of your other home decor.

That is beautiful artwork! thanks.

I'm no expert in interior design, but I would lower the painting closer to the top of the door frame. Maybe 8 inches above the door frame. But, that is me. It seems too high. Even putting it over the couch and moving the smaller bird sketches somewhere else. I go through this with my wife all the time about positioning wall art. I'm often wrong, so don't take offense.

I'm no expert either, although I think it would look better in my office! :D

Nice palm art! But please put it at eye level so it can be properly enjoyed by everyone. It's a design "rule" that all paintings and fine art be placed at approximate human eye level. Try it. You'll see what I mean. Great find Rick!

Great idea, but this is one big open room with views from upstairs as well. It is difficult to place it all within an eye's view when you can be either on the first floor or upstairs. Either way....I love this painting.
