Winter is nearing an end. My average temp of about 63-64F will become 70F in a few weeks, by late Feb and nearly 80F by late March.

We add another degree (F) every 4 days, sometimes 3.

In TX spring time heats up fast, fast, fast! Can't wait for the real heat to begin.

Yes it is. And I gotta say that it is about time, even though this winter has been very mild for me so far (knock on wood). However, I always get nervous around February. It seems to me that while February is the month in which average temps start to rise, it is also the month when Austin experiences it's hardest freezes. Also, since many of the plants are starting to leaf out in response to the warmer weather, it sets things up for an ugly crash when the cold finally hits.
