Had the delux guided tour with Mkey around Flecker today , and saw heaps of things I have not seen on my previous hundreds of visits .

But sadly i cannot find any of the hundred or so pictures I downloaded onto mikeys PC , so you will all have to wait until i GET HOME AND COPY THEM TO MINe.

Going tomorrow to the special pre Xmas collectors plant sale , all sorts of great stuff should be there and still got plenty of room on the trusty digicam ..

stayt tuned

Thanks Michael! There are many lunatic (its the local heat...94F and 85% humidity and no wind) palm folk around N. Queensland and at last I found another! The situation that was captured in your pic was as astonishing as amusing! Indeed!

But where is the photo of true D. sahanofensis that you laboured over muttering oaths?! Eh?

Cheers! Bill.

Yo crazy Michael!

Your pic post #30 is of a palm that came in as D. remotiflora....which it isn't! Very pretty cane-like stems. The stem internodes often deviate in zig-zag fashion...very odd characteristic! Am awaiting next inflorescence before attempting the Dypsis key.

#31 is Dypsis mananjarensis...true to type. Yes...this species recently came in under D. malcomberi which was a pleasnt surprise for the lucky ones who waited to see!

Cheers! Bill.
