Problems with Messages

I was reading a message from someone, and was thrown back to me messages Inbox. The message I was reading was not in the InBox Folder, the latest message being 4 days ago.

I've also recently sent messages and they do not appear int he Sent folder.

Is this normal?

Dear Terry :)

Please, check wheather you have enabled the pop-up blocker..

it could also be due to internet connection error..are you in DSL or Dial-up Modem ? since this kind of error was way of life when i was in my dial-up few years back..

But i have a request to make to the admistration team,if a copy of the PM reaches our E.Mail box with its contents,it will be very helpful.since all cannot visit palmtalk daily but can visit their E.Mail box from any part of the world..especially those who travel a lot on daily basis..

thanks & love,

Kris :)

Terry,

As we discussed, you need to check the appropriate box at the bottom, each and every time, if you wish sent items to be saved.

Kris,

Unfortunatley the software can only alert you via email when a PM has arrived. It can not send you the text and any attachments.

Thanks Dean. When we made the switch last spring I didn't catch the UI change regarding Send. Functions the same, but not as obvious, at least to me. Still don't know where BS Man's reply went, but we were able to connect regardless.

Terry,

I have had messages disappear as I went to reply. I realized that I am probably deleting them. The reply and delete button are next to each other, and there is no confirm on the delete. So, click just to the wrong side of reply and whammo, its gone, and you are back staring at the inbox.

I have often encountered with one problem,is that in the message titile box, when i type a common word like hello,it highlights with list of probables and by pressing enter..it at times takes the message to the person to who iam writing the message even without filling anything in the main letter writing area_why is this happening ?

then i had to send another message,in it i need to apologise for sending an empty letter or PM.and then write my conversation in that 2 PM !

this has happened to me quite often..can the computer program writer redirect the path of enter command only to the prescribed button, than assigning the 'Enter' key command to the entire page of messanger ?

Kindly do the needfull...

Thanks & Lots of love,

Kris :)

Kris,

I don't quite understand.

But in any case, I don't think a message can be sent when the message box is totally blank.

I just typed "Hello" in the "Message Title" in a new message and pressed enter, and I get an error message indicating you must enter a message in the message box before the message can be sent. Nothing was sent.

Dear Sir :)

you are right...the problem occurs only when replying to a message.and not when its totally empty.iam sorry & i stand corrected.but as i have pointed it is a problem when we try to reply to a message.at that time whatever i have mentioned earlier does occur.

So the old message without me replying leaves to the concerned person, without me adding any new text in it.just because i have pressed enter key.or if i had pressed enter key twice while selecting or filling the 'message title'.

And i have also experienced that while inserting the smile icons the mouse pointer or the curser hangs within the message writing page this gets normilised by pressing 'preview message' and i use firefox & I.E. Both the borroswers behave in the same fashion.

thanks & love,

Kris :)

OK Kris,

Now I understand.

Unfortunately there are no adjustments available to change that behavior. I agree that it would be better if that part of the program did not react in that manner. But that is hard coded into the program itself, and there is no procedure that I can do to make it any different. Perhaps in an update, the software designers will make the necessary changes.
