We got Fay bearing down on us in South Florida today. We are all like deer in the headlights. It is interesting on this same day a Tropical Storm emerged from the Gulf of California and dumped 5.66 inches of rain out in Needles,California.I think that is more rain than they usually get in a year!

Bubba:

I've been watching weather in Tucson, Arizona. They have had a lot of rain!!! They're temps have been in the 90's which is cooler than average for them. Tucson has been getting their rain from the feeder bands of tropical low pressure systems orginating from within Mexico.

I keep an eye on the East Pacific storms. A few had paths that looked like they were going to head towards California.

The East Pacific is quiet for now.

I wonder if the East Pacific will pick up some storms this fall.

Bubba,

You come up with the most curious facts. So, have you always been a weather groupie, or is this a recent thing?
