OK, mostly a tease at this point, but I was told I should get some before shots of a "in ground addition".

Heres just after finding a location and starting to dig.

time to make with the weedwacker already! :o

BS - looks like the yard has gone au natural. If you lived in my neighborhood you would be doing weekends in the county lock up until your lawn was perfectly manicured (gotta conform) and the HOA approved.

Can't identify the palm but best of luck in your transplanting party.

Oh no! That would be too broad of an application, much too sloppy! He's going to put on a latex glove, then a cotton glove and wipe down each weed separately with round-up. You know, surgically. I don't know, what do you think, Jeff, agent orange? Sprayed from a helicopter?

OMG!

You actually PLANTED SOMETHING IN THE GROUND!

When I saw the picture of that H. forsteriana (I think) I ran screaming out the front door all the way down to Whittier Booley. . . . When I told the cop, she just about fainted!:lol::lol::lol:

Anyway, good to see you did it, and that is a nice H. belmore, if you don't think you can plant it, I know of a good home for it, plenty of weeds just like you have . . . . :winkie:

Dave- not sure if you knew or read this right. The H. forsteriana has been in the ground for several years now. The Belmore did get planted. Really.

I'll try to post the "trio". What I didn't mention is that the smaller palm to the left in the third pic has defied description. First was told it was a Hedy., didn't take long to realise that was wrong. Then told it was a Belmore....but the leaves only recurve a little. I currently think it is one of a batch of of "Howea cross's" that came thru a while back. It was an enourmous 1 gal when I got it, I planted it about 1 1/2 years ago.

Jeff- do you see a Betafaka I don't? Is it loose again? :o

Bill, what have you been fertilizing your weeds with? They seem to need a little more, they are not even waist high! I don't think they can rightly be called weeds till they need a bushhog to get them down. I, however, have given up on mowing my weeds and instead whack at them with a machete. I have a lovely weed collection, and you have a lot of catching up to do. Also, nice palms you have, what do they call it, planted?
