Don't miss it. Mount Cootha auditorium, 7:30pm.

Brom society guest speakers will be there and there's the raffle of course, and boy am I overdue for a win there.

Come along, meet the friendly crew.

Just home from another great BPACS night at Mt Cootha. The Bromeliad society sent two experts for our guest speakers and they brought with them a swag of Broms for show and tell and a few babies for sale as well. A very educational and earthy lecture was given.

Fab night plus I actually won something in the raffle, a small Howea belmoreana which is worth about the same amount of money I spent in tickets so all's good. First time I've owned one of these so I'll be looking for tips from everyone on the board.

I took a few pics so for the first time on this board here's an actual BPACS meeting with members being entertained by Bazza and the Bromeliads, CD out soon.

Firstly some of the Broms displayed for the talk.

Yes Wal, 'twas a good night and very educational. Several of the Ratpack were up to their usual antics...I can see Mickey Rat, Randy Rat, Fatrat and Borat in your photos. And Walrat of course...

Nice markings on those billbergias in photo upper right. Also very fond of the large-format broms in photo lower right. Wow, palm people sitting still learning about bromeliads? Your palm group must be very broad-minded. :D
