I have a sago palm in a fifteen inch pot right now. It looks great and has for about five years now. However I have a big twenty four inch pot unused that I would like to replant it in. I'm hoping that if I plant it in a bigger pot the plant itself would get bigger. Would you guys recommend this? If so, could anyone offer any advice on doing so?

Geoff,

Sure, you can repot it. It will just continue to grow and probably put on more suckers. Use a good draining soil, give it plenty of light and don't overwater. It should repot quick easily. We utilize 24 inch boxes on cycads all the time.

These things are pretty bullet proof. I just cut 28 babies off a mother plant from my parents plant........what butchery!......but I don't think the plant will miss a beat.......time will tell. Repotting should be no problem....just don't overwater....in fact treat it more like a cactus than a palm (maybe water ever couple of weeks.
