Nice pics Dave,  and beautiful garden Bob!  I can't wait to see it.  That last Dypsis looks sort of like the upright form of D. onilahensis.  I'm curious as to what others think it may be.

:o Great job with the pics Dave! A good fotograffer can do wonders with a humble little garden. A well known if not infamous palm madman from the Vista Ca. area once came by and told me " you have an acres worth of palms on a postage stamp size lot". My reply to him was, yes I do, but I'm not a slave to only one obsession, I have many, and I can still find hats that fit!

Bob, Of all the gardens in So cal. that I have seen yours is one of the most inspirational. When I saw your garden several years ago on the PSSC tour it really sparked my interest in palms of New Caledonia. I have since planted several in my garden with many more waiting in the wings. I too was very impressed with the Syagrus Abre ojos. Do you have any seeds or seedlings for sale? Would love to see your garden again someday. Awesome pics Dave! Steve

Urban Rainforest Palms,Cycads and Exotics. Were in San Diego Ca. about 5 miles from the beach on Tecolote canyon. It seems to be an ideal growing climate with moderate temps. and very little frost. Vacation Rental in Leilani Estates, big island Hi PM me if interested in staying there.

Thanks Steve, for the compliment, I have seeds galore and you are welcome to come by, no entry fee.

Wow!  This is a great garden!  I love every one of the palms on the pictures.  I've looked a the pictures about 4 times now and I'm still salivating.  :)

Darian should take a lesson from you...

I'll have to come by sometime too.  BTW, your houailou has grown a lot!  Fully split leaves- BRAVO!

JD

Dave, great photos, and Bob, you have a beautiful garden! (I recall seeing it way back in the early 90s on a PSSC tour).

I'm curious about the photos in Post #15. There are 5 photos, and on top it says "Burretiokentia koghiensis etc.". The taller palm to the right of center in photo #1 appears to be a koghiensis, but photo #2 and 3 appear to be of vieillardii?

Bob!........  Just , I dunno, .....Thanks again for the hospitalty and the great palms to see!!

Thanks Bo, Jennifer and I really enjoyed your'e paradise 2 yrs ago at the biennial. You are correct about the B. Viellardia.
