I like Jeffs guess the best so far.

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

4 meters tall is interesting, that is 13 feet exactly.

Could it be Chambeyronia lepidota? I know you Aussies get some better New Caledonian stuff than we do, plus you have the climate to grow things from higher elevation.

we have pet names for so many things , only an Aussie would know what it is to jump into your ute

and drive from Brissy to Rocky ,

making sure a couple of slabs in the back chillin in the esky ..

not to much Bundy .. have a smoko half way at a good servo .

Hi Colin, is that a Woto boto to the far right? If it is, it is a far better looking specimen than mine. Last winter seemed to knock mine around a bit, even now after summer and all the rain, it has only put out one new leaf.
