bob told me a few weeks ago there were some cool palms at the hotel del coronado & finally this past weekend we got a chance to go check it out.get ready for sun,sand,&

of course PALMS!

we finally find a place to park near a traffic circle & small park about 1 block from the beach.

i spotted this amazingly tall butia.it was taller than the 2 story building it stands next to!

Nice pics Paul,

The shots of the R. rivularis were great, what a beautiful palm and pretty big too. I was in Balboa Park snapping away on Sunday

Ooooooooooooooooooo,  fun!  I'm usually there working and don't get to take much time to look around, but I do know some unique ones over there!!.

I'm glad Bob was driving while you took the bridge pics........................... otherwise this thread may not exist.  ???

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Hey- while I'm thing about it. Can you start using the word "and" instead of the ampersand (&) in your titles?  Then I can click right to your threads when you reply.  The "&" screws up the notification links.
