Howdyall:

I only spent an afternoon at Jeff's place, January 2, 2008, but it was one of the most memorable post-New-Year's days I've ever had.

After touring his nursery (and having lunch!) Jeff took me to his place west of Fort Lauderdale in Broward County, and all I can say is thanks and it was glorious.

On the road in, here's a drive-by shot of a hedgerow of A. wrightii that must have been a quarter mile long, in front of a new development.

I suppose Floridians find it old hat, but I glory in a wide open road like in Florida.  We just don't have that in So Cal, except maybe in the desert or the Freeway in the Pendleton Marine base.

Post 14 is a Dypsis cabadae, and Post 19 looks like a Lytocarium, which is close to a Syagrussy (007's sequel to Octopussy).

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.
