Hey, George. Please keep me in mind if you get viable seed! I got 15 or 20 seeds of E. ferox x trispinosus from a friend a few years ago and two of them germinated. They are both doing well but don't look anything alike. I look forward to watching them develop. I will keep you in mind Jody. I remember seeing the E. ferox x trispinosus at your place and not really being able to see the parents in the cross.2 points

My Dypsis Decaryii x Dypsis Lucubensis hybrid is showing it's first rings of trunk. The rings are very rich emerald green which match closely to the leaves and the bright red tomentum on the crownshaft makes this probably my most colorful palm. It would be nice to get more of this hybrid in cultivation. Gary1 point

what I bought as cabadae x decari.dont know why my pics are sideways. But it definitly clumps, much fatter and faster than cabadae. gets morning sun and then is shaded

I love Ferox in cone ! And I could not resist putting pollen of a very aggresive Horridus on this one. We will see what happens since Ferox don't like to play with other species that much.....1 point

Since it is growing season for A.dichotoma I figured it would be good to see some pictures of plants grown by other PalmTalk people. I planted this one in March of 08 with 4 heads. What a great palm this is Bubba. I was cautioned that they have a somewhat delicate disposition. I had no such problem and I planted it straight away to take advantage of the rain and the mud. Here is a new leaf, showing hints of red near the petiole - this is in total shade and the reddish colouration persists for a week.1 point
