Bismarckia 5 years of Growth

Jubaea

Recommended Posts

I thought I would share an update of about 5 years of growth for my Bizzy.  I planted it in July 2016 from a 5 gal.  The other picture is from today where it is starting to truck.  I was not sure how quickly it would grow but I think that it is doing quite well.

I love the way bizzies look at that stage. Also can’t help but notice those archies that have shot up in the back over five years as well!

Former South Florida resident living in the Greater Orlando Area, zone 9b.

Constantly wishing I could still grow zone 10 palms worry-free, but also trying to appease my strange fixation with Washingtonias.

Looks to me like the one on the right is an Archontophoenix of some type which is next to a Majesty. You are probably correct tho :D

Actually, no, I think you are! I didn’t look closely enough but the leaflets seem far too long for an Archie on the palm in the back

Things are a bit crowded in there.  Behind the Bismarckia is a Parajubaea cocoides and just behind that is a triple Alexander king.  The Tallest king is a Cunningham king and behind that is the Majesty.
