Wow, that's quite a macro lens you have there...makes it look like a huge green monster emerging from the bottom of a crater! Date palms are much fun to grow from seed, I've been having a good time during the isolation growing up a batch of 'Barhi' which is now my favorite date cultivar. One is already in the ground, they have all put on amazing size for being less than a year old. I hope your 'Medjool' does as well for you in SC.

Hi Tuija,

Your seedlings look nice!  That photo on the left has got to be the smallest P. dactylifera seed I've ever seen!  Looks almost the size of P. roebelenii seed.

Hi Fusca! 

Mazefati seeds are smaller than Medjool. Adult palm is shorter but leaf is very long.
