Problems posting videos from photobucket

Trópico

Recommended Posts

It seems I can no longer post video links from photobucket, where before I used to.

This is the form I have always been using where an image is clickable in order to run a video.

[ URL=http://path_to_video.mp4][ IMG ]http://path_to_thumb_of_video.jpg[ /IMG ][ /URL ]

Now it just displays the image upon clicking it, but no video!

I have no choice but to add a direct link to the video now but that also apparently is starting to give problems too!

Help is much appreciated!

Thanks

Frank

Sorry, I can't help since I don't use PhotoBucket. Maybe someone who does can offer some assistance. Nothing has changed on this end that should have an effect. When was the last time you posted a vid that worked? Was it before the switch to the new server last month? And - do the other ones you posted still work?

Thanks to those of you who help make this a fun and friendly forum.

Apparently this is a PhotoBucket issue. I dredged this up in one of the support forums.

"working on this photobucket issue myself, the problem now is their link codes are using server#.beta.domain format now and the direct links also always end in .html

not to mention they are using the %3A%2F instead of :// in the actual embed section.

and trying to just play their generated mp4 in a self hosted player fails as they don't allow cross domain linking."

I'll keep trying to see what I can find. But maybe try one of the other services until the new PhotoBucket format is supported.

I've uploaded a new media tag .xml

Please tell me if that makes any difference.
