This is the first time Mule Palm Nursery will be offering to sell xbutyagrus seed. I am doing a test run on the board to see if any members might be interested in the purchase of xbutyagrus seed.

I will have 1000 available for sale. All of these will be floated off and are fresh.

Since you germinated these seeds before, what is the germination rate? So people know what to expect.

Hello,

Sorry it has taken me awhile to respond. That is because we have sold them all. We will have more available most likely in July.

But to answer some of your questions. Mark Lynn does all the pollinating and germination. His germination rates are that of a Butia.

Germination rates also vary from year to year. However the average is around 10 percent in the first 3 months. Then up around 50 percent during the rest of the year and depending on the year he sometimes gets them to pop as far as up to two years out.

This is all done in heated beds in a greenhouse.
