Kris is a new father and not getting the kind of sleep he is used to. I thought we could give him a few of his favorite Canary Island Date Palms:

Yeah, I was thinking of Kris when I saw this very old Phoenix canariensis in an old Point Loma garden recently:

Those aren't CIDPs.

The first two pics look like P. lourerii and last are P. dactylifera, edible date.

Nice pictures, though, and I'm sure New Dad will love them!

Dear Bubba & Dear Kim :)

A very special thanks for those fentastic visuals of mature phoenix palms specimens, and i must say your stills have bowled me over..and i love each of those beauties !

And i must also thank you all for posting those stills in big size, instead of opting for the thumbnails option.. :winkie:

And Bubba you are right, every day nights are mostly sleepless, since me & my wife have nothing to do  But baby sitting. And when it dawns in the morning i end up leaving the room with a pair of swollen eye balls !

But after the sun has risen my baby goes to sleep, seeing this beautiful site..all that me & my wife went throught the previous night does not seem to be painful at all. :) And honestly that child has brought some new meaning to my life... :)

And its very sweet of you all to remember me whenever you see phoenix palms, inperticular the CIDP's and hats off to you all for that.

Lots of love to you all,

Kris :)

love conquers all..
