Hello.

This morning, reviewing the seed yatai x syagrus, I discovered this. Is the first to germinate, as the palm tree has borne fruit for the first time in 2008.

Is placed in the center ... A privileged place  , surrounded by F2 seed. At the back of the box his sisters.

The palm is 4 years from seed, more 3 years on the soil, total 7.

Hi.

I use perlite only, with a little moisture in the background. As a source of heat, the oven in the kitchen, my wife does not use.

Hello,

True, Butia hybrids are quite rare. I sometimes for kill time hybridized my Butias, Phoenix (Reclinata x robellini) and Chamaerops (cerifera x vulcano). Although my passion are Butia hybrids (all the cocoides).

My passion began after reading the article by Mr. Merrill, now I have achieved some good things.

Hi, Mark:

Thank you for your kind words! My years are so extensive; don't see how I could possibly be wise beyond them!

Hi, Mauser:

Your accomplishments regarding hybrids are quite impressive; best wishes in your continuing efforts. I thoroly enjoyed visiting Murcia, Elche and Alicante many years ago. Lots of palm trees! Sincerely hope you can visit us here in the U. S.

Best Wishes,

merrill

Hi, Merrill.

Thank you for your words. Always I read yours interesting comments. If I had not read his interview, for those years, probably never tried hybridized.

5 years ago I was tourism in your country (NY).

I would like to visit Florida someday.

regards

Unless the palm has produced more seeds since then, i doubt that 13 year old seeds will germinate.
