I took a stroll down my driveway with my old dog and took a few photos in the fading daylight.

Beautiful pics Scott. Are you an ex-pat? What sent you to Guatemala?

I have lived in Guatemala for most of my adult life. I had always wanted to live in a tropical country. I lived in the far north of Saskatchewan for three years and even as a child I vowed never to suffer cold like that again.

Guatemala > Anywhere in Canada.

It is hard to imagine ,but Guatemala has some very cold weather as well. It recently dropped into the low 20sF in the Highlands.

O. tigillarium is the cats meow.  Is yours clustering yet?

Yes, it started to cluster even while still in the pot. I had ten seeds and only two germinated. This one is almost ten years from seed . I think I am growing this one at its limit of cold/cool tolerance. It shows more yellow in the leaves during our winter/dry season.
