I have 3 CIDP seedlings. One with 2 leaves, the other two quite stunted, not moving.

Dear Larry,

Phoenix palms mostly love desert kind of climatic zone,if they are grown in cool-wet zones they are bound to be slow and most occasions they might even rot. This in reference to 'Date palms'.Where washy filiferas and Brahea armata can grow, date palms could grow and even put out delicious fruits too in those zones.

BTW do keep visiting our forum regularly.

Love,

Kris.

Kris, I love "fresh" dates, and they are getting so expensive here in Oz, might have to buy direct form the large plantation in the NT.

If thats you in the  pic its proof that dates are good for a lean, cut body :)  along with plenty of work.

Pete  :)

Edit, just watched the Video, enjoyed it and its Jake a Californian :)

Dear Nath,

Countries like Gibraltar,Spain and France have lots of nurseries which has Canary island dates palms to sell,And you must buy them before Brexit.Since transporting plants and live stock(Cattle)are at the moment possible.

We had a British forum member living in Spain who was growing palms from seeds,His name is John.

And his palmtalk user name/ID is  John in Andalucia. Contact him,he might be of some help to you in finding farm grown CIDP's for your garden.Wish you all the best.

Love,

Kris.

I’ve seen Jakes videos. He lives here in Tempe Arizona. Pretty amazing what he’s done with the garden given our climate! I too love the Phoenix palms, sometimes we take them for granted since they’re so common here.

I can’t think of a desert oasis or resort without a nice lit up Dacty here in the desert. They just go together and are so elegant!

Great videos!
