The largest in Florida is located near Ft. Myers in Estero, Florida. It replaced the largest in the state at the Edison Estate, in Fort Myers.

I wasn't familiar with this species so had to look up and see what it is:  Ficus drupacea var. pubescens

I don't know if these "Woolly Brown Fig" trees grow here in California.  With all the different species in the Ficus genus, it is hard to keep up with them.  I will speculate that the number of species within the Ficus genus exceeds even the old "Dypsis" genus during the lumping period, before splitting the genus back to Chrysalidocarpus, Dypsis and Vonitra.
