A friend visited the Bahamas and sent a picture of this unusual fruiting tree. I don't really have any info except a description of the inside of the fruit, if that would help.

Calotropis ..likely procera    ..A giant Milkweed from Africa. 

Also sometimes called " Crown Flower "

Awesome, thank you. I've actually seen that plant here once in a dedicated butterfly garden, but the one in these pictures tricked me by looking way less unhappy.

"milkweed" seems undesirable, but the flowers ARE pretty.
