Found this fungi in my back yard next to a yucca.

No idea what it is, here is a picture with a shoe for scale.

No idea at all, but I would not be eating that one in a hurry

Not a certain ID but this could belong to either the Genus Pholiota ( Scalycaps ) or  Desarmillaria ( ..often referred to as " Honey Mushrooms " )

Might get in contact w/ your local chapter of the FL Mycological Society and see what they think. 

Grifola, Lentinus < Woodcaps and Sawgills >, and Pleurotus < Oyster Shell Mushrooms > were 3 other possible Genus that came to mind though most sps in the last two Genus cling to wood ( Logs / branches ) and range of the first genus doesn't appear to expend into S. FL. 

Whatever it is, more than likely,  it is munching on buried / decomposing Oak Leaves / any other Oak- shed detritus,  rather than bothering the Yucca.
