A Christmas miracle in the forest - Yucca...

A good friend told me to take a look in the little forest next to the small stream.

See for yourself 🤗

He is the forester and part of the forest belongs to him.

He didn't say what kind of yucca it was... that sly fox 😁

It's great to meet you, Mazat. You look great. And you're more European than all of us put together. I hope you can come to Chile. I'd give you some Juania australis seeds.🤭🤭

Greetings to you Both.

The yucca resembles aloifolia. However, at that size they're difficult to distinguish.

Most likely aloifolia based off the skinny leaves and compact central growth point/spear area/crown (what is it actually called 😂?)

Above are correct yucca alofolia, your climate is not the warmest of climates. So one only has to think what die hard yucca would be a volunteer in that climate! And it’s nice to meet you!

Hello, dear Richard 🤗

We infected the man with a passion for exotic plants through our stories.

So far, he only has two chestnut trees—the edible variety and a small Trachycarpus fortunei. However, he also knows the gardener from the greenhouse. So he must have gotten the Yucca from him... The circle is complete.

This type of yucca, it, if it really is one, seems to follow both of us, you and others, in a positive sense 😃

How is your Yucca aliofolia doing?

Thanks for asking. It’s doing well, growing slowly but steadily. I think it’s focused on root growth right now, the bottom of the pot is looking like live spaghetti. Here’s a picture of the plant now. Doesn’t look much different but I assume when it warms up next year things will get going faster. IMG_0389.thumb.jpeg.950c0716b39dff704dcef1d54701a541.jpeg
