First bloom on our little plant, in December! It lacks the orange tint on the demonstrator plant I saw but…yellow is a nice color too.

My vireya ("Ne plus ultra") generally starts flowering in December and flowers pretty profusely throughout the winter. There are sporadic blooms the rest of the year, but winter seems to be the heaviest flowering time. I haven't seen these around the local nurseries lately, I'd like to get some more...

@PlantMorePalms that looks great! Flora Grubb usually has a few varieties at any given time. I got a 'Cyril' there a couple of years ago. It has been a strong grower and flowered for the first time in August. I actually got this one at an orchid show in GGP last February. It got set back by a limb from the neighbor's tree trimming right after planting but seems to have recovered now.
