Well, I have been looking to get another yucca for a little while now and while I could not find the variegated gloriosa I wanted I did find and order an aloifolia, which does not disappoint me because it is native to my area and somewhat fast growing. It came with basically no roots so i’m expecting a bit of setback but I’m happy that my plant is alive and well. Here it is in its pot below.IMG_0084.thumb.jpeg.9adfbabf522a53a773a81181d6c90c4a.jpeg

Looking good

Yucca gloriosa variegata is very sensitive to wet conditions and gets problems caused by fungus.  Killed three here in Germany.  Y. aloifolia is growing fast but needs to stay in pots in my area.

yeah a lot of people say that so i’m not too disappointed. I had the chance to buy a gloriosa var tristis aka recurvifolia, but it was a really big plant and 68 usd which I did not feel like spending upfront.

2 week update. We got roots. This plant is tough as nails, and maybe even sharper than the average nail 😂
