Tahina Spectabilis seeds are urgently needed. Serious sellers, not scammers. Urgent.

Hugo, you are wasting your time asking about this palm. :)

It is monotypic, (only one species in the genus) and monocarpic (flowers only once, and then dies).  There is a very small, critically endangered natural population.  Seed production will not occur regularly but only rarely, when an individual palm flowers, makes thousands of seeds, and then dies.    There are many palms in cultivation, but they are all from the last episode of this infrequent fruiting.

I know, my friends. I hope the person who is most advanced in having these seeds will contact me and we can agree on how many years it will take for the palm tree to bloom.

Nobody knows... 🤷‍♂️🤦 Plants are not on any timetable. When seeds are advertised as available, that's the time to buy. No hesitation, or you miss out. It's a life lesson for any rare item. If you want it,buy it right then, right there. If you don't, somebody else surely will. Speaking from experience...

This palm is in cultivation thankfully, but the estimated flowering time according to Kew is 30 to 50 years. Yeah, it's going to be a while sadly...

That's right, my friend. We have to reach the people who are about to get Tahina Spectabilis seeds. They're silent and about to bloom. Any moment now, we'll all hear this good news.
