Looking for recommendations for cycads that can take a hard freeze. I have a sago and they do great in my area but and looking for a bigger plant to add to my jungle look areas. Giant Dioon looked like a winner to me but seems it’s at risk of death below 25F and I’m hoping to find something similar that can take more like 20F. Is there anything out there that fits the bill?

That might be my best bet, thanks!

One you could also check out is Cycas taitungensis. Finding a pure one in the US that hasn't been crossed with C. revoluta may proof to be challenging. However, pure C. taitungensis will hold 6'+ fronds under oak canopy and have a crown width of around 13-14'. They are impressive when seen in person. Like a Sago that's been scaled up 3x.
