Hello everyone here's my new zone pushing experiment a eucalyptus gunnii I know it's not the Hardiest of the eucalyptus but it's still pretty Hardy I'm hoping to get a eucalyptus neglecta soon

Another Aussie making life overseas good to see, they don’t even get a second look around my area eucalyptus by the millions here.

I love eucalyptus they  are one of my favorite trees what's the most common eucalyptus Variety in your area just wondering

Beautiful species...they would see absolute minimum temps down to around -10C/14F up on the central plateau here in Tasmania, so if you get much colder than that, maybe protection during winter, while young.

Other Tas alpine species like archeri, pauciflora, coccifera and urnigera would be worth a try if you can find them. Good luck!

Mild oceanic climate, with coastal exposure.

 

Summer: 12°C (53°F) average min, to 21°C (70°F) average daily max. Up to 40°C (104°F max) rarely.

 

Winter: 6°C (43°F) average min, to 13°C (55°F) average daily max. Down to 0°C (32°F) occasionally, some light frost.

In my area there are many species, red mahogany, turpentine, angophera, flooded gum, iron bark, black butt, Scribbly gum, bloodwood that’s just a few we have.
