Here's my Southern Pennsylvania lemon tree that I grew from a seed I planted it last October. I started this plant from a seed in December 2023 or January 2024 i can't remember Anyways it's done amazing in the ground. How I protected this plant in the winter I wrapped it with some Christmas lights and a blanket and put a bucket on top.

that really is a very good development.

i'm happy for you.

we each have trouble here with lemon varieties, although neighbor 1/4 mile away has several that thrive well 🤔

sorry for my late answer

he had planted two behind the house.

the others are in pots and he only takes them into the garage in an emergency when it's below freezing.

however, this has been very rare in recent years. He has a good microclimate in the garden.
