Opuntia < Prickly Pear >  ..Though not sure which sp. 

First thought would be a pad off your native sp. ..Opuntia humifusa, or something  within that complex  ( See :  https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/1412358-Opuntia-humifusa  )  but, it could also be some other Opuntia sp. that can survive there as well..

Thanks I knew it was some type of Opuntia but not sure of the variety but thanks for trying to help I appreciate it!

If you're looking to get more into these, Cold Hardy Cactus is a great source / resource for the really tough species..  See a couple i might need to add myself, lol.

looks like opuntia lindheimeri. its a common species for fruit in the east. phaecantha is another one common for fruit in colder places. but its 100% lindheimeri.
