Looking for a source of fresh Attalea Phalerata and/or Acrocomia Aculeata nuts

Hi,

I'm new to the community and have a specific need..

I'm trying to find [ideally] a source for fresh Attalea Phalerata and/or Acrocomia Aculeata nuts.

Preferrably, on a regular basis [monthly, or quarterly].

They need to be fresh (or slightly unripe), but, more importantly, I would prefer them "on the vine" rather than being "bagged", if at all possible.

They are being used for food/treats and need to be of the highest quality.

I live in the Austin Texas area, and would even consider larger plants to begin growing my own [cold-frame/hoop house if necessary].

Any leads to, or people who have mature trees, advice, or who would sell their fruit, I would be GREATLY APPRECIATIVE.

I would happily get the correct import licensing, as needed.

Thanks in advance!

Brian 😎👍

Acrocomia aculeata is native in southern Tamaulipas around the Tampico area. There should be plenty of seeds in there but I don't know anyone from there who sells them. You could as well take a trip to find them.

I have a mature Acrocomia that drops seeds fairly regularly. It would be very difficult to harvest fresh from the bract due to the 30’ height of the tree. I would be willing to send bags to you for the cost to ship.

if interested, just PM me.
