Sabine would like to take the tubers again next season in 2026 and, if possible, the seeds from the flowers too.

How should she proceed?

Is both possible?

Are her first daffodils

While they can be left in the ground, Narcissus bulbs can be lifted and stored ..Some place dry and dark...  After all the foliage has turned brown / died off. Lifting when the foliage is green can stunt post flowering bulb growth, or sometimes even kill them.  Replant again next Fall.

Any seed produced should be planted as soon as the seed capsules start to open.. Plant in regular garden soil.  Will take approx 3 - 5 years for seed - started plants to flower for their first time..

thank you very much, Nathan, from both of us for your explanations, information and comments.

Sabine will proceed in the same way. She and I really enjoy the daffodils.

I do not touch mine until they are completely dry. Then I tear off the dry foliage. Then number of flowers increase year by year.

They are in ground for many years now.
