I think the title gets the point across...  Maybe 1g size, nothing too big...  Gonna put it in some pots on a windowsill in a fullshade area...

Excelsa Gardens in Loxahatchee has em' but I thought I'd check with ya'll first...  Keep me posted!

It is a very vigorous grower, more so than the "regular" species form. We planted 2 on a 8x10' trellis, 3 gal. size on each side and it covered it within months. It is a good grower that doesn't need much care once established and it attracts butterflies. It also flowers just about all year, sun or light shade.

There is also C. splendens. It flowers heaviest in winter and spring, sometimes lightly in summer or fall. It has bright red flowers.

Dang, maybe this isn't the vine I want....  It looks really vertical...  Suggestions anyone?

I was wanting something flowering, showy and colorful that would droop...  like a hanging basket type vine that could hang down and eventually drape over the front porch roof...

The kicker is I need something that would bloom in full shade...  This location is the north side of a three story townhouse that maybe gets 2 hours of morning sun in the summers...

Pictures are much better to describe...  The blue blobs are where I would put pots on the faux planter box.. The green snake like squiggelies are how I envision the vines growing...

William,

Thunbergia battiscombei would be good for this location. It is a sprawling shrub/vine and likes shade. It is easy to grow, just keep it watered. Its not invasive or aggressive like other Thunbergia vines.

I wish I had a spot for it as I find it to be the most beautiful flowering vines around. Strongylodon macrobotrys. It is one of the only turquoise flowering plants around to boot. If you can find it, it is expensive. It has Wisteria type habit in that it does best when flowers can 'drop'. Anyone that has seen one in flower has not forgot it, trust me.

<edit>

I was checking my order status at Top Trops and see they have them. They are expensive but you get an idea about the flowers.

Make a spot, Len. They are worth growing, for sure. I have one in the shade house, waiting for shady spot for me to plant it. They get quite chunky though, so make sure the structure is firm and strong.

Ari, trust me, I would if I could guarantee it would survive. From what I understand they take zero frost and freeze. SoCal gets a few freezes every so often. You are lucky to have this plant. I saw one in Hawaii and was blown away.
